Yes! You read it right. I’m super excited about the Xbox E3 briefing which was held yesterday at the Microsoft Theater.
Microsoft kicked off the event by announcing that the Xbox One will be getting a total of 50 games this year. More importantly, out of the 50, 18 titles will be exclusively available on Xbox One. Most of these exclusives would be available through Game Pass on their launch dates.
Top 5 Exciting Games at Xbox E3
#1 – Forza Horizon 4
Forza Horizon most certainly tops my list of “Top 5 Exciting Games at Xbox E3”. It is one of the best games that I have played in the racing genre and with the release of Forza Horizon 4, Microsoft is bringing features like: dynamic weather conditions and an online multiplayer world.
You can expect to play Forza Horizon 4 when it launches worldwide on October 2nd, 2018. It will be available through Xbox Game Pass.
#2 – Gears of War 5
Second on my list is, ofcourse, Gears of War 5. It is the biggest most beautiful Gears world that Microsoft has ever created. Also, this time around, you’ll get to play as Kait while she journeys around the new world in search of some serious answers.
You’ll get to play Gears 5 sometime in 2019 when it is released on PC and Xbox One. It will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.
#3 – Devil May Cry 5
After 10 years, Devil May Cry is finally back with original characters and the heart pounding action that we all love. You can see why it is 3rd on my list. There is nothing more that I need to add, the trailer above shows it all.
You should be able to play it sometime in Spring 2019.
#4 – Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite’s release trailer at E3 didn’t show much but one thing is certain, The Master Chief is coming back! If you haven’t played Halo already (hello! where have you been??) there is no better time. Halo Infinite will be featuring the new Slipspace Engine, which quite frankly looks amazing.
Unluckily there is no news on the release date of Halo Infinite yet but the mysterious trailer was good enough for me to rank it number four.
#5 – The Division 2
Last but not the least is The Division 2. Although, I did find The Division a bit dull (maybe because I mostly played it solo) but from the gameplay trailer of The Division 2, it looks much more exciting. The world seems even more realistic and this time around, it is set in Washington D.C.
The Division 2 will be available starting March 15, 2019 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

- Black Desert
- Crackdown 3
- Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Dying Light 2

Microsoft Studios is expanding!
Despite all the games that Microsoft announced, another big announcement that they did was the acquisition of four great gaming studios (Playground Games, Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Compulsion Games) and the creation of a brand new one called The Initiative. This move shows that Microsoft is all in to make sure that Xbox is the best place to play games. That, and we should hopefully see a lot more exclusives in next years E3 😉
To sum it all up, as I said in the start, Xbox E3 2018 has me pretty excited. I have been an Xbox user for a while now and let me be honest, last years E3 was quite not what we expected. Not to forget, ever since the launch of Xbox One, Xbox has quite seriously lacked in exclusives. If anything, this years Xbox E3 event is a confirmation that Microsoft is truly committed in making Xbox One the best gaming platform out there.
